The operation method of gold extractant in the laboratory

Publisher: Hebei Kuangbao Mining Technology Co., Ltd. Release time: December 31, 2025

(1) Immersion test (suitable for gold oxide ore, semi oxidized primary ore, cyanide residue, silver ore)

1: Take 500g-1kg of comprehensive ore sample, and the ore with poor oxidation degree must be crushed to about 5mm and placed in an open (basin) container for later use.

2: Soak in 1:1 water.

3: Adjust the alkalinity pH value to 10 ± 1.

4: Add 0.5-3g of medication, mix well in a bowl, and soak (there will be clumped medication before adding)

Crush the agent to fully dissolve it, and the specific dosage of the agent should be determined based on the grade of precious metals in the ore and other elements that affect the leaching of the ore.

5: Stir every 4-8 hours and measure the pH value after precipitation, with an alkalinity of 10 ± 1.

6: Before sampling, wait for sedimentation and clean the slag with clean water (filter the slag with a filter and rinse it with clean water at least 5 times). Multiple samples are taken in a process, including 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours... Multiple tests are conducted, and the longer the leaching time period, the more significant the leaching rate will be. Finally, the leaching rate will be calculated. Leaching rate=(ore grade - leaching residue grade)/ore grade * 100%

(2) Stir leaching test (applicable to oxidized ore, primary ore, cyanide residue, sulfuric acid residue, gold concentrate, etc.)

1: Take 200-500 grams of comprehensive ore sample and grind it to -200 mesh with a ball mill, accounting for about 85%. Then put it into a stirred leaching container, and add clean water in a ratio of 1:3-1:4 (carbon slurry method: add washed activated carbon. The amount of activated carbon used is the same as that of sodium cyanide).

2: Add dry lime (preferably shortly after exiting the kiln), adjust the pH value, and adjust the alkalinity pH value to 11 ± 1.

3: The stirring speed is controlled at 60-160 revolutions per minute (carbon slurry method: observe the activated carbon and follow the principle of not crushing the activated carbon)

4: For complex ores containing arsenic, sulfur, antimony, copper, etc., after pre-treatment (roasting, adding auxiliary reagents), start stirring. After two minutes, add about 0.2-2 grams of reagents, stir for 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours, and then take the leaching residue for analysis to calculate the leaching rate. Leaching rate=(original ore grade minus leaching residue grade)/original ore grade * 100%
